If pairs of eyes are windows to the soul
Their eyes first saw their own reflections
And followed flows of fish on eerie strolls.
Then through the glass, a sparked connection.
The light through both their windows breaks upon
A tragedy to last the course of time
But just for now, all present evil’s gone,
There’s only admiration for the crime
Of admiring love sprung from hate. And if
This dream of love wrapped in eventual death
Could foresee two bodies dying and stiff,
Would they have parted in a lovesick breath?
To part before the sorrow is too sweet
Ensures another day for both to greet.
